The glorious month of Ramadan is approaching, and with it, a reminder to pause our usual chaotic lives, and reconnect with The Quran.
Alhamdulillah our kids are privileged to be inundated with crafts, decor, apparel and other fun Ramadan things. In the midst of it, I’d like to offer them an opportunity to connect with the Quran – in a way that is fun and competitive in a healthy way.
As my own girls get older, I feel that they are more able to focus on acts of worship, so this year, I am cutting down the crafts a bit and instead have created this 30-day Quran challenge for them. This is designed for 7-12 year olds, but after going through it, you can decide if it works for other aged children as well!
It is purposefully repetitive because I want to keep it doable for young children and want to ensure consistency and quality in their work. Spacing it out also ensures that it never feels overwhelming, because you don’t want your children associating negativity or stress with the Quran.
I am sharing this resource for free, with no subscriptions or anything, so that others can benefit from it or be inspired to create their own!
If you decide to join us on this journey, you can download the PDF below. Send me a DM on Instagram at nkmcoaching to let us know you’re on board – I would love to check in and see how things are going, plus offer you ideas for rewards that will save you from falling into the trap of more presents!
Wishing all of you a blessed and fruitful Ramadan, that brings us closer to Allah swt, helps us strengthen our Muslim identity and purpose, and help us become more firm on the straight path. Praying that our children always find comfort and strength in the Quran, first and foremost in their lives. Ameen.
